Reggie and Ziggy's Story

UPDATE 5/7/15: Reggie was weighed today and he's at a healthier 17.5 pounds down from the unhealthy weight of 22.8

Reggie loves to ride in the car just like my Bandit

Reggie likes to show you his toys but would rather sit at your feet while you rub his back.

THE STORY: One of my clients from 8 years ago passed away in her home. She lived alone with her 2 Jack Russells. Reggie (age 13 and breeder unknown) and Ziggy (age 8 and a Bandit and Annabelle Son) I of course was going to take Ziggy back but didn't have the heart to seperate the two boys.

UPDATE: Picked up Ziggy and Reggie from their home 1/31/15. They are now hanging out in a DOGGY CLUB HOUSE we created for them in our garage. What a fantastic pair of mature boys they are.

UPDATE They both had some obvious medical need so a trip to my vet Dr Smith of Fur and Feathers Mobile Veterinary Services was scheduled. Reggie is about 5 pounds overweight and has a substantial heart murmur (grade 4 but with no cough noted). His teeth are solid but are in need of a cleaning. Because of his heart he will require non sedation dental treatment. I had already started to change his diet to a whole food, low salt, low card one so he'll shed those pounds quickly. His veterinary cost will be $175.00. Ziggy has a slight heart murmur and is about 3 pounds overweight. He has a peach pit size fatty lipoma on his chest and a golf ball size solid mass on the inside of his right hind leg. The mass did have a slight soft floating part at the top of the mass which may mean it's not completely attached. Ziggy also has solid teeth but has more tarter than Reggie. Ziggy will require surgery to remove the fatty lipoma and the mass while under he will also get his teeth done. His surgery is going to be $568.80. I am still actively looking for someone with a big heart and an open house to adopted these two lovely boys AFTER they recover from all the necessary vet work. They were the best boys at the vet clinic, didn't bark at any of the other dogs, approached everybody who wanted to meet them..jumped back into their crates in the car when it was time to leave...just wonderful guys! BECAUSE their Mommy passed away without a Will any assistance from the Estate is now tied up in Probate. So I'm asking for donations to help with paying their vet bills. A donation jar will be set on the counter of Creature Comforts in Fallbrook.

UPDATE: 2/6/15

RECAP: 2/6/15 Ziggy's surgery was a success. Two rotten teeth and two fatty Lipoma's were removed. The extra charges for the extractions and antibiotics needed brought the grand total to $643.04 after apply the mony received from the donations via Paypal and the donation jar at Creature Comforts in Fallbrook all I owe now is $298.04...THANK YOU SO MUCH for your assistance with their medical bills.

As of 2/10/15 REGGIE AND ZIGGIE'S MEDICAL BILLS ARE NOW PAID IN FULL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! STATEMENT
