Puppies under 6 months of age are fed 3 smaller meals a day. 6 to 12 month old can be fed 2 meals a day and over 1 year old can be fed once a day. I prefer to feed the adult dogs in the morning so they have the calories and the energy during the daytime which is the time they need it most. Feeding adult dogs late at night can lead to obesity. I like to make meal time really an enjoyable time for my dogs by adding warm water or bone broth. The warm water helps release the aroma from the kibbles and that stimulate their senses. Dry dog food is a dehydrated product and not a natural diet so always add water or broth to your GRAN FREE dry food just before feeding it
I recommend "Taste of the Wild . This is a very good product that we have used for years with great success. I prefer to use the Beef & Boar. During rapid growth or times of physical stress, i.e., working, showing, breeding, you might consider using the WILD FOWL or the BISON and VENISON formula. They are a blend of protein sources that raise the count up to 32%. If you are concerned about the Mercury levels in the fish being used then please consider feeding any of the Acana or Orijen products. They are a grain free food from a company in Canada. All the ingredients are regionally grown and raised. The protein sources come from FREE RANGE, Antibiotic and Hormone free animals and WILD CAUGHT fish. Canada doesn't have the Mercury levels in their water. Expect to pay a premium price for this food.

You are what you eat, good health starts in utero and grows from the inside out. We like to say garbage in, means garbage out. We also practice what we preach! I don't tell you to feed the best while I cut corners and feed crap! Our dogs are raised on quality food, and good health care practices. I have a working relationship with my veterinarians and I'm not afraid to spend money on my dogs to insure they have a healthy, happy and long lived life.
When in doubt, check it out first before you buy!!!
